The 2008 USA Concert-Conference Tour of the Loboc Children's Choir
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Concert series tour in (a) Boholano and Filipino communities in the United States and in (a) Musicological Conference ENCUENTRO FILIPINO in California and New Hampshire academic communities
OBJECTIVES
1. To promote scholarships programs of talented and deserving, but financially strapped LCC alumni/alumnae, who wish to take up a college education in the field of music;
2. To promote the restoration programs of the Loboc Church and Convent Complex following the structural assessment of the NCCA
3. To promote the cultural revitalization program of the LSCMPC in the areas of music research, documentation and performance of Lobocanon music;
4. To demonstrate in an international symposium vocal music borne out of the Spanish period in the Philippines as unique examples of the Spanish-Filipino interaction of cultures
